Tanning Salon Lotion Promotions
As the 2009-2010 tanning season comes to an end, many salon owners are looking for a way to make the most of the last few weeks by having a sale. Often times salon owners overlook this opportunity to also have a lotion sale at the same time. In my opinion any sale should always be tied to some type of lotion deal as well. Why not make the most of your promotion and capitalize on the fact that your clients are coming in with the thought of buying things anyways. A good way to increase the average dollar value per customer is to create packages that consist of tanning plus a bottle of lotion. Not only do you make more money on this transaction, but you have the opportunity to introduce a lot of customers to using tanning lotion. Since getting clients to try lotion for the first time is often times a very difficult barrier this is a good way to let them try a lotion and learn the benefits that they provide.
It is rare that once a customer starts to use lotion they will stop. After seeing the increase in results and the improvement in their skin they don’t want to go back to the not using it. Another good idea is to not only bundle a regular bottle, but to also add a specialty product like a facial lotion or an after tan moisturizer. This is another way to introduce your customers to the benefits of tanning lotions in a way that is comfortable to them. By adding all of these small bonuses in a your clientele is much more likely to pay attention to future sales you have, as well as talk to their friends about your salon. A final sale that you can try is one where you give customers a free packet of lotion for every $10 they spend, or a free packet of your best lotion when they upgrade to any of your higher level tanning booths. This is a double win for you because now they are not only trying your best product, but they are also tanning in your best equipment. As long as your high-end equipment is good, they will be more apt to upgrade in the future.
