The recommended regiment is 3 visits per week for 12 weeks then 2 visits a week after that. The recommended exposure time is 15-20 minutes.

Because of the long exposure times it is important that you buy a tanning booth that features an integrated countdown timer and audio system. Ten minuets can be a very long time to stand still without any entertainment. New models that will be available by the end of 2010 features an integrated MP3, Ipod system with voice command. The audio system lets clients choose from 4 radio stations, or their ipod. It also has a large digital read out that shows your clients the time remaining and the current volume level as well as audio selection.   When shopping for a new red light tanning bed make sure to focus on the manufacturer behind the machine. There is a big difference in quality and performance that different manufacturers offer. Just placing “red light tanning lamps” into a preexisting machine that you may have will not give you any results. These machines were not designed to be converted and you will end up not giving your clients a product that can deliver the desired end results. Since your reputation relies on making your customers happy don’t try and be cheap. You may end up not only losing a red light collagen customer, but a UV customer as well. Word of mouth advertising can be the cheapest and most reliable way to grow your customer base, but it can also work in the opposite way. Just as with everything else in life, cutting corners will not benefit you in the long run.
